Kumi’s 11th single, LOVE & HONEY, released in 2004. Her version of the song Cutie Honey was used as the theme for the live action movie of the same name. This single was released after her third album, feel my mind. The song Cuite Honey was a bonus track in the First Press edition of that album, but with the release of the movie Avex released it in a single. The best move they could’ve done.

I believe this single is the one that made Kumi truly famous. Before this I never saw her on TV, but at the end of 2004 she appeared on various shows performing Cutie Honey! Since then, Kumi’s popularity has skyrocketed.

Not exactly. The single that really made Kumi a sort of household name/word was the single "real Emotion / 1000 no kotoba." Both songs were used in the PS2 game Final Fantasy X-2.

I think "real Emotion / 1000 no Kotoba" made her well known. I never saw her perform those songs on TV shows. Although "real Emotion / 1000 no Kotoba" was her first single to debut in the Top 10. All of her releases since "LOVE & HONEY," with the expectation of "Chase," have debuted in the Top 10. I think this single was the turning point for her.
