Ayumi’s newest single, Bold & Delicious / Pride. This single is quite different from all her other singles to date. The sound is so different in Bold & Delicious that many fans expressed their immediate hatred for it. And the PV. I for one have to say that when I first heard the song, I wasn’t really feelin’ it. But it grew on me. As an Ayu fan, that has never happened. Usually, I love her singles from the moment I hear them. Pride is another story. It’s a ballad and has a very distinct “Western” feel it it. I really like it and her performance of it on Music Fighter was great! Though both of the songs don’t really sound like J-Pop, Ayu manages to keep it in that realm. It’s a bit refreshing to hear something completely different from her. Wonder what her album will sound like.

    Actually, it was Sweetbox that wrote those songs. Ayu covered them and wrote her own versions after hearing the early demos from Sweetbox. You can hear both Bold & Delicious as Sweetboxs' versions on their new album, Addicted.

    Sweetbox also wrote Beautiful Day/Beautiful Girl and Ladies Night.

    @Adam E. : No she wrote the lyrics for these songs, Sweetbox just composed the songs. But since Ayu recorded the songs while they were still demos, it is not considered a cover, but a song composed by Geo from Sweetbox.
